DIY Scarf Hanger

I've been on Pinterest (again) and found this DIY Scarf Hanger....
https://www.pinterest.com/pin/41306521554524646/0

After I read the instructions; I wasn't to happy with using scotch tape.
After much consideration of different ways to make it work; I decide to try two different ways.

1. Hot glue gun ( high heat glue gun that I purchased at Hobby Lobby http://www.hobbylobby.com/home.cfm

2. Cute colorfully duct tape from Michaels' http://www.michaels.com

So lets experiment to see which one works the best!!!

Materials needed:

1 plastic clothes hanger ( I have two, one for each type)

1 - 12 pack shower curtain rings, 99 cents at Wal-Mart ( I'm showing two pack, one for each hanger)

Glue gun & glue sticks

Duct Tape

Play around with the layout---chose the one you like best....

Make sure the rings are snapped closed.

I used the hot glue gun on the first one...

It took maybe 10-15 minutes...super easy & fast.

Next was the duct tape...I almost didn't finished this one!!!

This way takes a lot of patience ....about 35 minutes

Finished :)

Now comes the true test....will they hold all my scarfs or fall apart???

YES!!!!!

NO!!!!
The glue didn't hold with the weigh of the scarfs.

Note: I went back and added more hot glue to each ring and they're holding.
I was so sure the hot glue would be better. If I make another one; I will use the duct tape!
