Hello, I will be a monthly guest on here and will be sharing information about some wonderful products and healthy tips but since we just celebrated July 4th.....
I grew up in a small Northern Indiana town and July 4th was a huge deal! It would start with the parade where we would line up early to get the best spot. The parade was filled with marching bands, clowns, cars, floats, fire engines and horses and everyone waving flags! It was awesome. Later we would all get together at my grandparents farm for a picnic of fried chicken, corn on the cob and of course ice cold watermelon and home made ice cream. The best part though was the fireworks, they would shoot them off at the local fairgrounds and you could get so close that it looked like they were falling down on you. It was a lot of fun as a kid and memories I will treasure forever. Its wonderful to see all the celebrations that people took part in this holiday weekend, whether it was a parade, fireworks put on by the local communities or neighbors getting together in the cul-de-sac and shooting off their own fireworks it was about having fun and making memories and that is a wonderful thing.
I would love to hear how you celebrated and any traditions you may have.
Melissa
